This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Platform"). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Platform.

Personal Information: We collect information you voluntarily provide when registering, such as your name, email address, mobile number, date of birth, gender, and profile photo.

Verification Documents: To ensure community safety, we collect government-issued ID documents, selfie photographs for identity verification, work email addresses, and professional credentials.

Location Data: With your permission, we collect real-time GPS location data to facilitate ride matching and navigation. You may disable location sharing in your device settings, though this may limit functionality.

Usage Data: We automatically collect device information (device type, OS, app version), log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited), and usage patterns within the app.

Payment Information: We collect payment transaction data for subscription processing. Full card details are handled by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processors and are not stored on our servers.

• Create and manage your account and verify your identity
• Match you with compatible riders or drivers on your commute route
• Process subscription payments and manage billing
• Send ride notifications, updates, and service announcements
• Improve our matching algorithms and platform features

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it in the following circumstances:

With Matched Commuters: When a ride match is made, limited profile information (name, photo, general area, trust score) is shared with the matched party.

Service Providers: We share information with third-party vendors who assist in operating our platform (payment processors, cloud storage, analytics providers) under strict data processing agreements.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights and safety of SyncRide, our users, or others.

Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We implement industry-standard security measures including SSL/TLS encryption, data encryption at rest, multi-factor authentication for admin access, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, unless retention is required by law. Verification documents are deleted within 90 days of account closure.
